Bloglines Service to Continue.
We have some exciting news to share about the Bloglines service!
As you may have heard, Ask.com (http://ask.com/) has entered into an agreement with MerchantCircle (http://www.merchantcircle.com/) who has agreed to keep Bloglines up and running. Stay tuned over the coming months as MerchantCircle works to improve the Bloglines service by creating a richer and more local user experience.
In the near term, your news feeds and access to the service (with your same password) are still available. You can read more detail about MerchantCircle and its plans for the service at the MerchantCircle blog (http://www.merchantcircle.com/blog/) and the Ask.com blog (http://blog.ask.com/)
For now, here's what we want you to know:
. Timing: Ask.com will maintain the current Bloglines service as is until December 1, 2010. After December 1, 2010, the service will transition wholly to MerchantCircle. During the month of December, you will be able to easily port your feeds over to the MerchantCircle-powered service. It's an easy process, and we.ll provide you with complete instructions well in advance.
. Logging-In: You will keep your same password as before.
. Current Bloglines features: Your Bloglines subscriptions will seamlessly transition to the MerchantCircle service, however, the Clippings Tab will no longer be available and you will not be able to transport saved articles to the new service. We're very sorry for any inconvenience this will cause; the infrastructure requirements and costs are simply too great to justify maintaining this type of archiving feature.
We hope you're as excited as we are that Bloglines will live on. Please send any questions to bloglines@merchantcircle.com -- we are listening! As you may already be aware, Monsanto and other powerful corporations are well along in their plans to dominate the world food supply through genetic engineering. Genetically engineered food ingredients like corn and soy, as well as sugar from GMO sugar beets, are now found in thousands of grocery food items.
While all this is going on, the FDA is making every effort to prevent the public from knowing the truth about GMOs in their foods. They've claimed that requiring GE foods to be accurately labeled would be "confusing" to consumers. The upshot is that they have no intention to require mandatory GMO labeling of food products, and in fact the FDA seems committed to making sure consumers are left in the dark (as usual).
As the editor of NaturalNews, I've been fighting hard to raise public awareness about the dangers of GMOs through articles, videos and music. But there's another person who has been doing even more -- for about 15 years -- to protect you from the dangers of genetically modified foods.

IRT plans to release more documentaries, interviews and articles, and to establish local and national Non-GMO Working Groups to educate the public, parents, schools, healthcare professionals, and others to stop buying high-risk foods that use GMO ingredients. That effort takes funding, and you can probably already imagine such funding isn't being offered by many corporations.
If we are to be successful in halting the scourge of GMOs, it's really up to you and me. We must be the support that keeps IRT going. Together, we can win this fight for our food freedom and help protect future generations from the travesty of GMO seeds and crops.
